Don Huisman was in the ROTC when President Elect Roosevelt visited Grand Rapids, Michigan. When he wanted to join the fight in WWII he wasn't invited. When he wanted to be home with his new wife, Uncle Sam called him to duty. He doesn't remember where he was when Kennedy was shot, but he does recall where he was when President Roosevelt died. This Inauguration week podcast is closed with 94 year-old, Julia Drost reciting from memory, the poem: Touching Shoulders.
