I remember Ray Lokers when he was the principal at Mackinaw City after he graduated from Hope College. He and Clarissa were good friends of my parents and had contact with the family after he joined the service and met them many times. My younger brother Jon remembers hunting pheasant in the Zeeland area.
I have an uncle, Richard McKinnon, who is 87 and was a tank destroyer commander with the 69th infantry division that met the Russians at the Elbe River.

Thankyou for sharing your thoughts Ray. We all need to hear more from our vets so we never forget the sacrifices made. Alyssa is so mature and has seen for herself this sacrifice. I wish all the kids could have this experience. The msuic and the stories made me cry. Thanks, Dave.
